Switching servers

If you’re reading this, then the switch has been successfully completed. I am switching to a new host as my old one has decided to shut shop and not take any renewals when my current account expires in less than a month’s time – not that I would have stayed with them anyways.

I had around 2 gigs of web space lying around with these guys, so I’ve decided to shift the site here. Not that I would be using anywhere near that amount of space for this site of course. The only downer is that the site now runs on Windows instead of Linux 🙁

I’ve done a bit of testing and everything should be fine – all your user names, password etc. should work just like that. It should be a seamless transition, but if it isn’t, and you notice something is broken, give me a shout.

Edit: The change isn’t that “seamless” after all. The permanent links (permalinks) to all posts have changed because IIS isn’t too happy if I don’t put the ‘index.php’ as a prefix. So in the rare case that you’ve linked to any of these posts, be sure to go back, search the archive, find that post and get the new URL. Sorry for the trouble and I promise this is the last change as even if I go back to Linux again, I’m sure Apache won’t have any issues with this structure either.
